“Murgash” has joined the NMB fleet
On the 3rd of June 2014 in the port of Las Palmas (Canary Islands) NMB took delivery of the motor vessel “Murgash” (ex-Wanderlust – IMO 9188908). The first captain of the vessel is Strahil Ivanov, and the first chief engineer – Plamen Kozhuharov. The delivery of the vessel took place in the presence of the representatives of the company captain Mitko Mitev and Yasen Kafaliyski.
“Murgash” is the fourth bulker of NMB of the “Balgarka” type. This is the second vessel in the history of NMB bearing this name. The first one came in the fleet on the 18th of December 1967, when in the Japanese city of Innoshima, was raised the flag of the new built 13902-dwt ore carrier “Murgash” (IMO: 6809343). Under the command of captain Asen Bondzhev and chief engineer Bozhan Todorov the vessel committed its maiden voyage following the route – Australia – Great Britain – Murmansk - Burgas. “Murgash” has been in the fleet of NMB till the 18th of August 2009, when she was sold for scrap in Gadani Beach, Pakistan, after nearly 42 years of service.
