CONDITION OF SAILING
 

The issuing of approved Tall Ship Training Registration Form / Boarding Card in the name of the Trainee indicates that the person sailing accepts the berth offered by NAVIBULGAR on the basis set below.

 

NAVIBULGAR does not under any circumstances accept as a Trainee any person who is pregnant, is under the age of 15, has a diagnosis of epilepsy, is a carrier of serious communicable disease (e. g. Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV) or, for deep sea voyages, is a diabetic.

 

A. Undertaking by NAVIBULGAR

1. The vessel will be under command of a person holding qualifications required by statute with additional professional crew as also required.

2. The life-saving, safety and fire-fighting equipment carried on the vessel conform with statutory requirements.

3. The fee paid covers only food and berth on board.

 

B. Undertaking and Acknowledgement by Trainee:

1. I will be expected to obey all orders given by the officers, boatswain or other persons in charge and I must carry out their duties.

2. I understand that any contention can result in immediate discharge from the sailing training vessel at my expenses and without any refund or part refund of the cruise fee.

3. I understand that sailing can be dangerous activity, particularly in rough weather, which can be encountered at any time on a voyage. I agree that Navibulgar, its appointed agents, the Master and/or Officers and Crew Members of vessel (the Crew) can take no responsibility for the vessel not fulfilling the program due to weather or breakdown nor can they take responsibility for any loss and damage or personal injury if caused by their negligence. Accordingly I agree not to hold Navibulgar or the Crew legally responsible for any misadventure, loss, damage, personal injury, or death that may occur during or as a result of the negligence of Navibulgar, its appointed agents or the Crew.

4. I do not suffer from any medical condition, which is likely to affect my health on the voyage. Should this be the case I agree to supply a written statement from my doctor before travelling.

5. I agree to present on board the vessel all medical documents concerning trainees medical status, issued by an authorized medical official.

6. I agree that the Master can authorize appropriate medical treatment where necessary without recourse to next to kin.

7. I understand that on a voyage that is designated as being of both sexes, there are no segregated accommodation/sleeping facilities for Trainees.

8. I understand that Navibulgar holds an insurance for the ship; not covered by this insurance are:

o Trainees personal effects - Illness

o Personal accident

o Additional travelling costs caused by altered schedules

 

9. I understand that insurance engagement for:

o Trainees personal effects

o Personal accident

o Illness

is for the Trainees account.

 

Additional information:

The ship is fitted with ten two-bed cabins, one six bed, one nine-bed, and one eleven-bed dormitories.

Four meals a day are usually served on board - breakfast 8 oclock, lunch 12 oclock, supper 18 oclock and night breakfast at 22 oclock. All European food.

The vessel has two compartments 14 and 22 placed which are used for lectures.

On board the barquentine are provided all kinds of sail training practice, coastal and ocean navigation as well as traditional seamanship.

The trainees have to come on board with personal oil-skin (waterproof), warm clothes, sun-hats and waders.

There is not much space for big luggage so please use sailors bags.
