Settlement of Maritime
Communications of Ship Station
BG02 effectively acts as
an intermediary, between the mobile maritime subscribers and the
service providers or Land Earth Station Operators. It came into
existence to reduce the number of variety of bills and settlements
passing between operators and shipowners, which then needed
extensive administrative effort to process e.g. identify calls,
convert call charges to and from various currencies, reconcile these
charges, etc.
E-mail via Inmarsat
Today e-mail is one of
the most popular ways of communicating. Sending e-mails to ships is
fast and easy to use as standart e-mail. The only difference is
necessity of access to Inmarsat system via Land Earth Station
Operator. We effect registration of e-mail addresses for sending
single or multiaddressed messages to all vessels with Inmarsat
terminal on board using Xantic SAT400, Xantic MailConnect and
StratosMail.
